Campaign Overview
The Diamond Anniversary Campaign is an outgrowth of conversations between the LFHS Boosters and LFHS administrators, based on mutually identified needs. These needs have been highlighted by many members of our community, expressing concern about the state of the outdoor athletic facilities at the LFHS East Campus. The current facilities are in disrepair and have outlived their useful purpose as suitable athletic venues. In the spring of 2011 alone, more than 100 LFHS athletic events were cancelled due to unplayable natural grass surfaces. We saw similar cancellations in previous years.
ADDRESSING THE NEED
Repairing and retrofitting existing outdoor athletic facilities at Lindenmeyer Field simply is not cost effective, and enhancements to the LFHS Front Lawn for athletic contests are not practical. We seek to create a complementary facility at the current Lindenmeyer Field site to supplement Varsity Field and other athletic fields at the LFHS West Campus.
THE NEW LAKE FOREST HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS COMPLEX
Serving as a multi-use venue that will include amenities needed to host a variety of athletic and community events, we propose a new, yet-to-be-named Sports Complex comprised of a new state-of-the-art track & field facility and two new synthetic turf fields, marked to accommodate football, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse (boys and girls). This facility will be capable of hosting significant events in each of these sports, including Regional and Sectional competitions.
BEYOND ATHLETIC COMPETITION
Beyond interscholastic athletics, the new Sports Complex will be used by LFHS Wellness classes, the LFHS Marching Band and a variety of other intramural, recreational, cultural and civic events that will extend its value far beyond the LFHS campus. Ultimately, the new Sports Complex will benefit virtually every student at LFHS – athletes and non-athletes alike – and the entire community.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Because tax laws are always changing and each family's situation is unique, you are encouraged to consult with family and financial advisors to determine which method of contributing is most beneficial to you. Please remember that payments on pledges are deductible for income tax purposes, as provided by law. Pledges are obligations made in good faith, but are not legally binding.
LEVELS OF GIVING
Your total gift may be spread out over the course of five years. For example, a gift of $10,000 becomes $2,000 per year. Donations may be made yearly, semi-annually, quarterly or monthly and are tax deductible.
OUR LEGACY / DONOR RECOGNITION
This is a unique opportunity to impact current and future generations. Each pledge of $1,000 or more will be permanently recognized at the new Lake Forest High School Sports Complex. Please consider making a generous pledge today.
Your pledge will make a difference!
